Founders, mentors, employees and certified Techstars DE&I Access partners can #givefirst to the network by sending high-quality, professional referrals to Techstars portfolio companies through our Talent Network.
There are two levels of candidate access in the Techstars Talent Network:
Verified Candidates
A professional referral from a verified Techstars Network Ambassador (founder, mentor, employee). This should be someone you know well enough to vouch for on a professional level (worked with, mentored or interviewed). These candidates receive elevated network access to request direct introductions to portfolio company hiring managers. Follow the instructions below for these candidates.
Unverified or General Candidates
These are candidates you might know personally or through your network, but you don’t know well enough to submit a professional referral. Send these candidates to jobs.techstars.com to create a profile and search through portfolio jobs.
In the Techstars Talent Network, we call providing a professional referral a “vouch”. Here are a few ways you as a Techstars Network Ambassador (founder, mentor or employee) can vouch great candidates into the network to become verified members.
1. Email your referral directly and copy (Cc') invite@getro.com. In the email let your referral know that as a network member, you are inviting them into the Techstars Talent Network with elevated access to search and request direct introductions to Techstars portfolio companies. From there, you'll receive an email from hello@getro.com to submit your referral and they will receive an invitation to create a profile.
*Email subject line and text do not matter to the system, but having your referral as the direct recipient and invite@getro.com on Cc (not Bcc) does.
2. If you already have an account in the Techstars Talent Network, navigate to getro.com and login. Using the “invite” button at the top of the page, select that you are inviting Talent and a Verified Member who can request introductions to the network.
